Company projects: a powerful teaching method challenging students to tackle real business cases

The IoT Chair challenges the students

200 years ago, thanks to Vital Roux, one of its co-founders, ESCP was already a pioneer promoting a pedagogy oriented towards practical teaching.
Nowadays, business cases are still an important element in students’ learning paths.

From January to April, about 60 students from the IoT specialization (a 120-hour long track created with the support of the IoT Chair) have been involved in company projects.

"Beyond the school walls" experience at the Maison des canaux for the ESCP students presenting their company projects to the Circular Economy Chair's partners

Circular economy cannot be learned only at school.

Professors Valentina Carbone and Aurélien Acquier are convinced of this. They explain it in this video.
Involving companies and institutional actors, developing interdisciplinarity, and encouraging a reflexive posture by opening innovation spaces for students... are the 3 pedagogical principles of teaching circular economics at ESCP.

Europe’s Potential Niche: Going Digital in a Human and Sustainable Way

The Dean and Rector of ESCP’s Berlin campus, Professor Andreas Kaplan, thinks Universities across Europe could show the path toward a human and sustainable way of digital transformation.

I am constantly thinking about how students need to be prepared and trained in a globalized and digitalized environment increasingly coined by artificial intelligence (AI), big data, or the Internet-of-Things. As the World’s First Business School, established in 1819, ESCP is currently celebrating its bicentenary.
