Module 1 - Business Model Innovation in Finance
This module equips students with the tools and frameworks to design, analyze, and reinvent business models across industries, focusing on financial products and functions. Module 2 - Fintech Fundamentals
Fintech Fundamentals introduces students to the technologies and business models transforming financial services and functions. The course covers the elements of AI in finance, banking innovation, blockchain, and several other topics at the crossroads between finance and technology, preparing students to navigate and lead in the evolving landscape of finance and technology.
Module 3 - AI in Finance
This foundational module explores how artificial intelligence is transforming financial decision-making. Participants gain an understanding of AI’s evolution, its integration into financial operations, and its practical applications across corporate finance, accounting, portfolio management, trading, and risk management. Through hands-on exercises using Excel and AI-powered tools, learners develop the ability to identify, evaluate, and apply AI-driven solutions to real-world financial challenges faced by banks and corporations.
Module 4 - Decentralised Finance
Decentralised Finance explores how blockchain technology reshapes financial systems through open, automated, and transparent protocols. The course covers DeFi infrastructure, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, decentralised exchanges, and automated market makers, and equips students to understand and navigate the rapidly evolving DeFi landscape.
Module 5 - Implementing AI in Finance
This module is a hands-on course that equips students to lead AI-driven projects in finance by combining core project management skills with the specific challenges of AI implementation. Topics include model explainability, system integration, team structuring, risk management, and success metrics. Real-world case studies illustrate best practices and common pitfalls, and students leave with a practical framework to implement AI solutions in finance across different industries.
Module 6 - Advanced AI in Finance (Optional Module)
This advanced module enhances participants’ technical understanding of AI’s role in finance. It covers the core elements of machine learning, data extraction, and pattern recognition— including NLP and sentiment analysis—while contrasting Python-based coding with prompt engineering in tools like ChatGPT. Participants explore AI agents and Excel integrations, apply advanced forecasting and inference techniques, and critically assess the capabilities and limitations of generative models in financial decision-making.
A Unique Learning Experience
This certificate is designed to combine self-paced learning formats with live interaction opportunities. It offers high-level perspectives from ESCP faculty and access to a community of peer learners.
- Length : 15 weeks - 5 modules
- Total workload: 120 hours, including 60 hours of teaching
A combination of:
- Self-paced learning content: Short video lectures, introduction to frameworks, press reviews, insights from experts, case studies, podcasts, data visualisations, quizzes
- Regular interactive live sessions: 15 hours (five 3-hour modules)
How you will be evaluated:
- Quizzes and assignments after each module
- Group capstone project: the opportunity for each participant to apply the knowledge acquired to a practical project.
Subject to successful completion, you will receive the ESCP certificate. This certificate validates the skills block « Structurer une veille sur les évolutions des marchés financiers et des dispositions juridiques et fiscales » of the RNCP qualification "Expert ingénierie Financière et Fiscale" (MS), under reference RNCP36021, pursuant to the decision to register in the National Registers dated 10 November 2021.
